Widely recognized as the UK’s leading expert on all aspects of deer and deer management Dr John Fletcher is frequently called upon for his authoritative opinions in cases of dispute.
He has, for example, had extensive experience as an expert witness in court cases, tribunals and arbitrations often lasting many days and including prolonged cross examination. Among other subjects these cases have involved animal welfare and cruelty allegations, compensation for profits foregone on Sites of Special Scientific Interest, health and safety and negligence claims.
He is also often asked to provide professional valuations of deer for sales, compensation claims, insurance purposes, etc.
